How It Works

1. Select a resume - Choose the resume you want to tailor
2. Click Tailor - Open the tailoring dialog
3. Paste the job description - Add the full job posting (up to 10,000 characters)
4. Add instructions (optional) - Include any specific guidance (up to 2,000 characters)
5. Select experience level - Choose the appropriate level for the position
6. Generate - AI creates a new tailored version

What Gets Tailored

The AI analyzes the job description and optimizes your resume by:

• Keyword optimization - Adding relevant keywords from the job posting
• Experience alignment - Highlighting experience that matches the role
• Skills prioritization - Reordering skills to match requirements
• Summary adjustment - Updating your summary to align with the position
• Achievement emphasis - Highlighting achievements relevant to the job

Experience Levels

Choose the experience level that matches the job:

• Entry Level - 0-2 years experience
• Mid Level - 3-5 years experience
• Senior Level - 6-10 years experience
• Executive - 10+ years experience

Pro Tips

• Use the full job description - The more context, the better the tailoring
• Add specific instructions - Tell the AI what to emphasize or de-emphasize
• Review the result - AI gives you a great starting point, but review and refine
• Keep the original - Your original resume stays unchanged; tailoring creates a new version
• Use tags - Tag tailored resumes with the company or job title for easy organization

Targeting a transition:

Your tailored resume:

• Is saved as a new resume in your dashboard
• Gets auto-tagged with experience level
